Another dirt road at the turnoff. Start down the sandy dirt road to Earthstar which is about a mile down the road. Shot of the address on the postal boxes. Approaching one of the neighbors along the road. It dives down beyond this section. The Quonset hut on the right is a good flight marker for finding Earthstar because it is white and easy to see. Mark's hanger is in the distance. This is the windmill that announces the arrival at Earthstar. It is also the well for the place, with water pumped to the top of a hill to provide pressure. Mike is the primary plane builder and is working on a Gull 2000. He has several Earthstar planes of his own. Note the digger pine cones as big as grapefruit. They have excellent pine nuts.
