The "U" shaped ends go around the spacer on the axle.

This is the bend so the bar will clear the pitot tube. The foam is protection for the pitot tube in case you should pull the bar up too much and hit it.

Pre-Heater
This is a 1500w Patton electric heater with a 6" side opening duct, a reducer and 6' of 4" al. duct. Total cost about $40.

The square face of the duct fits well over the air exit for the heater, with some refinement, and 6 screws into threaded holes in the heater face. The reducer is riveted to the side piece.
